We touched the Lombardi trophy!

The Lombardi trophy is making a state wide tour.
Yesterday, 2/23, we waited in line at the HH Greg in Avon to get a chance at it. WE TOUCHED IT! (Don't worry, Frazier got lifted up so he could touch it too.) It was so cool getting to see the trophy. (I don't much like me in these pictures. I have got to do something about that.) The line was out the door and down the sidewalk. We got lucky, and got there in line just as tons of people were getting there. We got in line right at the door. The wait was about an hour and half. Frazier had his game boy so the wait went quick. Frazier also made friends with the kid in front of us. We got a couple posters, and our picture with the trophy. Blue, the COLTS mascot was there.

school has been delayed

Oh my...You know how when there is bad weather the news channels will run a ticker that has school delays? We just saw Avon schools is on a 2 hour delay tomorrow!!! WOO HOOO Catholic schools are closed, and it now looks like even public schools are going on delay because of the game being later. That way EVERYONE can stay up and watch the COLTS win Super Bowl XLI! GO COLTS! O/k o/k, school being delayed may have a little something to do with the fact it's supposed to be -5 degrees tomorrow morning....I bet the COLTS had some influence though.... BIG GRIN!

GAME DAY

It's here...It's GAME DAY! Here in Indy it's sunny and fr fr freezing cold. Down in Miami it is raining. Things are really exciting! It's going to be a great game!

This week there were no new posters at the bank, but Sprint stores passed out a really cool one.
All the COLTS stuff is out, our jersey's are on...and we're ready for some football.
GO COLTS!

SUPER BLUE FRIDAY

Today is SUPER BLUE FRIDAY! Gordie came home at lunch time, and we went downtown to the Circle Centre Mall. It sure was crowded. We got a new COLTS poster, and took a few photos. They updated the banner on the dome, and the people bridge near the dome. At the rally there were a couple of cheerleaders, two alumni players, Blue the COLTS mascot, and "the Guy". When Frazier got home from school, he and I went up to the bank so he could get a new poster for his room. They are doing a send off thing downtown on the circle Monday. The team is leaving for Miami on Monday. All next week, each day, is a BLUE day in honor of the COLTS. GO COLTS!!!

COLTS WIN AFC CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

OMG WHAT A GAME! At one point the COLTS were down 21 to 3, and they came back to win it! THE COLTS ARE GOING TO THE SUPER BOWL!!!!

It will be COLTS vs. Bears in Maimi. It's amazing. Will we be able to go to sleep tonight? I should have some great stuff to add to this blog over the next couple of weeks.

GO COLTS!!!!!!

snowy game day morning

We woke up. Game day is finally here!!! Look outside, and it had been snowing! WOO HOOO Gordie and Frazier made a snow ball stick guy, and a snow fort. We decided to paint em with "GO COLTS" in honor of the big game today.

The night before the AFC Championship game.

Tonight we drove around downtown. Indianapolis was all a glow with blue lights.
Here are a few pictures....
What a beautiful veiw of the Indianapolis skyline from across the White River.
The main entrance to the dome, and the GIANT Peyton right outside the entrance to the dome.

...a people bridge near the dome.

These are buildings right around the circle downtown. My favorite one is the first one, the IPL building. It's so great to see the city doing all this for the COLTS. It's the biggest thing to hit Indianapolis in a long time, and most definately the biggest sporting event. In the 23 years the COLTS have been here, it's the first championship game that has been held here.

This is the site for the new COLTS stadium. It is set to be ready by the 2008 season.
Today I painted a horseshoe that was in Frazier's room.

GO COLTS!!!

another COLTS rally

Today was BLUE FRIDAY. There was a rally at Circle Centre Mall. Gordie came home early, and we went downtown. Man oh man was it crowded! It sure was fun though. I shook hands with Blue Elvis! We stood in line and got two different posters. One for the AFC Championship game, the other is a team poster. Both are very cool. They gave us each a COLTS bag too. We drove past the dome today, and it looked pretty cool. There was a huge blue banner, and signs everywhere. After Frazier got home from school, we went to the bank and he got another poster.

There was another rally in the ally this evening, complete with fireworks. We didn't go to that, but are planning on going downtown tomorrow to see the lights. Downtown Indianapolis is turning blue. I'll be sure to post a few pictures. GO COLTS!

Frazier's FOOTBALL page

When Frazier was a baby, his Uncle Steve made a football page for him. CLICK HERE to check it out. It doesn't get any cuter than this little COLTS fan! How time flies too. Seems like just yesterday he was this baby. Now he's the cool COLTS fan getting his picture with cheerleaders, and a painted face.

2006/07 AFC South Champions

IT's deep in to the playoffs now. The COLTS are the AFC South Champions for the 4th year in a row. Round one of the playoffs was at the dome against the Kansas City Chiefs. COLTS WIN! Round two, the divisional round, was in Baltimore. What hype that game got. The COLTS went back to Baltimore. The Baltimore fans still held a grudge against the COLTS for leaving back in 1984! That didn't bug our team. The COLTS WIN again!!!! In other divisional play, the 4th seated Patriots beat the number one seated Chargers. That means the AFC Championship game will be held in Indianapolis for the first time ever! What a great thing for the city and the COLTS. GO COLTS!

COLTS rally

At the end of December Frazier and I went to a COLTS rally at a Dick's Sporting Goods store. They passed out posters, bracelets and COLTS coins. Frazier got his face painted, and his picture with two of the COLTS cheerleaders! What a lucky COLTS fan!

Christmas and the COLTS

For Christmas we got a little silver table top tree. It had white lights on it. This was our COLTS tree. I decorated it with some blue garland, and some COLTS ornaments that we already had. The new tradition is to get a new COLTS ornament every year!

Halloween and the COLTS

For Halloween Frazier dressed up as Naruto, a character from a show he watches. I put on my COLTS "fan face", and away we went. OOOO Scary!

Adamson's Karate does the half time show

In August 2006 Frazier graduated to a 3rd degree brown belt with Adamson's Karate. The graduation celebration was the half time show at the COLTS / Seattle preseason game. What a thrill it was for Frazier, and us, to be down on the field like that. It was a fantastic halftime show! The COLTS lost that game, but that was o/k since it was a preseason game. Here are a couple of pictures from the halftime show. Frazier was right in the middle of it all on the horsehoe, in the helmet!

2005/06 AFC South Champions

The COLTS were the 2005/06 season AFC South Champions. This was the 3rd time in 3 years! GO COLTS! It was a great season. The COLTS went 13-0 before they lost their first game. Everyone thought they would go to the big dance, but it was not meant to be that season. The COLTS were defeated in the divisional round of the playoffs by the Pittsburg Steelers. Here are a couple pictures from a COLTS rally at the in November of 2005.

INDY COLTS FAN

I decided to start an INDY COLTS FAN blog. Not sure where it will go from here, but this should be fun. I wish I had started this sooner. I keep a page on a different site for the COLTS. Last year I would post weekly stuff. This year it's been posting pictures, and game updates. With this blog I can keep all of that together. I'm going to transfer what's on that page to here, and post COLTS updates regularly.

RIGHT NOW the COLTS are headed to the AFC Championship game, and it's right here in the dome. First time in INDY COLTS history for the game to be here in INDY. Tomorrow is another COLTS rally downtown at the Circle Center Mall. I'm planning on going. It should be BIG fun!

WELCOME

WELCOME to the Haley family INDY COLTS FANs page!
WE LOVE THE INDIANAPOLIS COLTS!
~Gordie, Janice and Frazier Haley~
